5 Tips For Anti Ageing

Ageing is a natural process that occurs to every one of us. If we follow a healthy diet, sound sleep, and proper skincare routine, we can easily attain healthy and youthful skin even as age gets us. 

Here are some of the ultimate skincare routines which can help prevent ageing:

Use Sun Protection 

A sunscreen is the best anti-ageing solution. It is one of the most effective ways to protect you from the sun. The sun is responsible for any visible signs of ageing on your skin. It can cause dark spots, pigmentation, or even wrinkles. So, it is always advisable to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (with at least SPF 30) even when you are indoors or on a cloudy day to reduce any visible signs of ageing. Besides applying sunscreen, you may wear clothes that have long sleeves, sunglasses, and hats to avoid exposure to the sun and protect your skin from any damage.

A good sleeping pattern 

Our body repairs itself while we are asleep. During sleep, your skin’s blood flow increases, and reduces wrinkles and age spots. It is highly recommended to achieve sleep for around seven to nine hours each. Poor sleep quality in people can be related to other lifestyle issues that often are related to ageing. For example: an increase in sleep or anxiety can contribute to sleep deprivation. This will gradually result in visible signs of ageing on your skin.

Healthy diet 

Food that is packed with antioxidants properties may improve the skin’s elasticity and protect skin against damage and premature ageing. It is important that you focus on what you eat to avoid visible signs of aging. Eat a lot of vegetables and fruits such as green leafy vegetables, bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, etc, and fruits such as pomegranates, blueberries, avocado, etc. You may also include green tea and olive oil in your diet.

Moisturiser 

As you grow older it is important that you moisturise your skin regularly. When you apply moisturiser, it traps the water in your skin and keeps it hydrated and fresh. It also helps reduce visible signs of ageing such as wrinkles or fine lines. It is recommended that you apply a moisturiser that has Vitamins especially Vitamin C or Vitamin A in it. These ingredients are effective at preventing wrinkles from forming or getting deeper. A moisturiser can do wonderful things to your skin’s appearance but if it has sun protecting properties it will slow down the ageing process.
