You Need This As Your Everyday SPF: AXIS-Y No Stress Physical Sunscreen

If you have been looking for a new everyday sunscreen, AXIS-Y’s No Stress Physical Sunscreen is the one for you! There is a reason everyone raves about how great it feels on your skin- not heavy or chalky!

AXIS-Y’s clean packaging makes it feel very high end and luxurious with the soft, squeezable tube making it really easy to get the product out to make the most of it. The nozzle is nicely narrow to ensure you don’t accidentally squirt out too much!

Texture and smell

The sunscreen is super lightweight and easy to use with a faint natural lime-like scent. It does not leave the skin feeling sticky or chalky, making it great to use under makeup. Unlike most other physical sunscreens, this does not leave a whitecast or dry out your skin. No matter how lengthy your skincare routine it doesn’t cause any pilling- what more could you ask for? It does not give an oily or mattifying finish, instead more of a glow. It is not waterproof so do not use it if you are planing to take a dip in the pool or go for a beach day or heavy sweating at the gym as it will emulsify!

This concoction is full of skin soothing ingredients which are great for sensitive and acne-prone skin. IT is free from artificial colour ants, mineral oils, fragrances and parabens, making it great for those with sensitive skin. Contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide to protect against UV filters.

Its main ingredients are:

2% niacinamide: supports skin barrier functions, helping to protect and repair

Mugwort (Artemisia capillaris flower extract): lowers the heat of the skin and clears the blood to help skin elasticity and radiance

Calendula extract: anti-inflammatory properties to soothe

Squalane: emollient that moisturises without being heavy and helps to fight off free radicals

Allantoin: skin smoothing and soothing, speeds up skin repairing process, fights premature ageing

Green tea extract: an antioxidant that reduces puffiness, protects against UV rays and soothes irritated/inflamed skin

Chamomile extract: anti-inflammatory benefits for skin sensitivities caused by sun exposure

Grape seed extract: antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties

SYN-COLL: a peptide sequence technology that helps to boost collagen production and help with skin texture to provide anti-ageing effects

How to use

Use after toner, serum and moisturiser. Apply a finger or two’s length to a cleansed face and neck and blend in until completely absorbed. Follow up with your daily makeup routine.

Final thoughts

This sunscreen has the best texture and finish for those with sensitive, acne-prone, combination and oily skin or those that live in more humid climates. However, it still works well for dry skin types as long as you moisturise thoroughly beforehand. Those with darker skin tones will need to be mindful of minimal white cast as well. Overall I do recommend this as your everyday SPF as it is one of my favourites as not only do you get effective sun protection but your skin benefits from soothing ingredients as well!
