Foods To Eat and To Avoid For Amazing Skin

Did you know that your diet plays a huge role in how your skin appears? So we are going to help you out by telling you 5 foods you should eat and 5 you should avoid.

EAT: Salmon

Salmon has high levels of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, and zinc which help to prevent dry skin, keeping it moisturized and strong. Plus, it can help encourage regeneration of skin cells and reduce redness and inflammation. Lastly, it can even make your skin less sensitive to the sun’s harmful UV ray

AVOID: Refined Sugars

Refined sugars stimulate inflammation and in excess they can worsen skin conditions like acne, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis.  Furthermore this raises blood sugar levels  — and therefore insulin levels faster. When the body has excess insulin, it stimulates the production of androgen hormones and sebum which leads to acne.

DRINK: Green Tea

Green tea contains polyphenols, making it an antioxidant and an anti-inflammatory for your skin. Green tea also improves the moisture, roughness, thickness, and elasticity of their skin.

AVOID: Dairy

It is still an undecided debate as to whether, dairy is directly linked to skin problems. However, there appears to be a correlation between dairy consumption and acne due to added hormones in cows.

EAT: Ginger

Ginger is packed full of anti-inflammatories and antioxidants and helps to relieve skin conditions that are related to inflammation, like acne, psoriasis, or eczema. Ginger also has "anticarcinogenic" properties that can even help play a role in preventing skin cancer.

AVOID: Alcohol

Alcohol dehydrates your skin, leading to your wrinkles and pores becoming more visible.

EAT: Nuts

Nuts and seeds are rich in selenium and vitamin E, which means they offer antioxidant benefits that protect the skin and they help in absorbing energy from UV light and preventing damage from free radicals as two major skin-related benefits. And its anti-inflammatory effects may help maximize your skins protective properties.

AVOID: Coffee

Coffee acts as a diuretic and since Our skin cells are made of water, and any time they shrivel up, you lose that glow and plumpness. This results in those pores and wrinkles becoming more evident when your skin lacks its usual hydration.

EAT: Leafy Greens

Leafy greens are rich in vitamin K, zinc, and zeaxanthin, which promote blood circulation and coagulation, prevent breakouts and inflammation, and even out skin tone

Avoid: Fried Foods

Deep fried foods lead to excess oil production within the skin, furthermore they contain an increased level of hydrogenated trans fats which can have an undesirable effect on your skin's complexion.
